Fake Business Site

This early portfolio project gave me a realistic surface for learning modern front-end development without the constraints of an existing brand or product. The goal was to turn a fictional company into a coherent, credible landing page.

I defined the visual direction, structured the page, implemented every section in Next.js, and styled the complete experience with Tailwind CSS.

Without real product requirements, the design still needed a clear hierarchy and believable content. I focused on avoiding a collection of disconnected sections and making the page work across desktop and mobile layouts.

The implementation uses reusable sections, responsive spacing and typography, a restrained colour system, and prominent calls to action. Building directly with Tailwind helped me understand layout primitives and component-level styling before relying on larger UI libraries.

The deployed landing page became one of my first complete Next.js projects and a practical milestone in learning responsive UI implementation. It also established patterns I later refined in commercial work.

A visually modern page still depends on fundamentals: content hierarchy, consistent spacing, readable typography, and a deliberate path through the interface. The project marked the beginning of a more systematic approach to web design.
